The Bell Times Task Force is reviewing public input on whether to keep the bell time schedule the same, change it to a modified flip of elementary, middle & high school bell times, or extend the high school day by adding an optional seventh hour beginning with the 2016-2017 school year. The Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) program was created to facilitate community engagement and is being led by parents from our schools.
Please join us on Thursday, April 23rd from 7 pm to 8 pm at Whitman Middle School (9201 15th Ave NW) for a brief presentation on the Bell Time Proposal, Q&A session and to complete the family survey. You can view information about the Task Force and print the family survey by clicking here. Completed surveys will be accepted in the Whitman Middle School office through the month of April. Your input is critical to the school board's decision-making process so please plan to attend.
The last few mornings we have also observed several parents drop off their student in bus zone headed south and then flip a u-turn to go north on 15th. This is illegal and also dangerous (Friday morning there was a near collision).
We know that in the morning and afternoon that all roads around the school are busy, but please be patient, cautious and observe the rules of the road.
Please join us for our band and orchestra concerts.
